My 5th solo album contains all the commissioned work I did for the media production company Talisman (which later became Pure).
This mainly involved compositions for pilot episodes of television shows, but also occasionally for DVDs and theatre...

Talisman was co-owned by Jason Karl - the original parapsychologist on cult TV show 'Most Haunted' - and he asked me if I'd do some 'guide' music to a new paranormal show he was making, to be later replaced by a professional composer. I happily obliged. But when the team heard my music, they decided it was good enough to use as the actual music! And then I was asked to do the next show too (which they liked even more!) So then I was asked to be the permanent in-house composer.

In total, I composed the music for 4 completed TV shows (and 7 others that never ended up getting made), a DVD series, a promo trailer, and 2 theatrical productions. Some of the unused music has since been used in other promotional material for AtmosFEAR! Entertainment Group.

Unfortunately the company ended in 2005, but I'd thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of composing music to order and actually getting PAID for it!! None of the shows were picked up - which is a great shame, as some had far more originality than the usual standard fodder we get on the box!

I'm making these tracks unavailable for download. Although I own the copyright, I feel I should safeguard this music from being stolen and used by other parties, if only out of respect for Talisman & Pure (who had faith in me, and paid me!) and to make the music exclusive to the shows that they were originally composed for.
I'm sure you understand...but you can still listen to them!!

SPECTRE INSPECTORS (TV - 2002) - A psychic gameshow! Hosted by Jason Karl and Tilly Betts, and featuring three psychics competing against each other to come up with the most accurate information.

HAUNTED HOMES (TV - 2002) - Jason Karl visits people whose homes are haunted. There are interviews, reconstructions with actors, a walkthrough with psychic Marion Goodfellow, and finally a blessing to release whatever is there.

SPELLBOUND (TV - 2003) - A daily show, about 3 minutes long, featuring advice on witchcraft, spells, and magical practices by presenter and witch Cher Chevalier. (This is my personal favourite music!)

THE TV CHEF (TV - 2004) - Sort of like 'Ready, Steady, Cook'...except hosted by a transvestite (hence the TV in the title!) and made up of a studio audience dressed in S&M, rubber and fetish gear. A wonderfully subversive take on an old idea! Hosted by Wynnie La Freak, with sidekick/slave Lila Lipstick, and former Chippendale stripper Zacc Harvey. The celebrity guests were Coronation Street legends Julie Goodyear (Bet Lynch) and Ken Morley (Reg Holdsworth). Having Julie Goodyear dance to my music at the end of the show is something of a career highlight for me!! (This was by far the easiest to compose - I think I wrote AND recorded the entire show's music in less than an hour!)

HIGH SPIRITS (DVD - 2004) - This was a DVD series, along the lines of the 'Most Haunted' live shows. But seeing as Jason Karl (former 'Most Haunted' co-presenter) was the host, it makes it somehow more legitimate!

TERRORTOWER! (TV - 2002) - Remember the children's TV show 'Knightmare' from the 1980s? Well this is a like an adult version, full of horror and gore and extreme frights. The final show was never actually made, but a promotional trailer was completed. Featuring the excellent Robin Wayward as the Master of the Tower.

G-FACTOR (TV - 2003) - This was never made. But was due to be a gameshow for children set in a theme park, involving roller coasters and thrill rides.

POSSESSED POSSESSIONS (TV - 2003) - Also never made. Was going to be a gameshow involving pyschometry.

HOWLING HORRORS (TV - 2003) - Another abandoned project. A ghostbusting gameshow for children.

DIY WITCHCRAFT (DVD - 2004) - This was going to be a witchcraft tutorial DVD, but was never made.

ZOMBUNNIES (TV - 2005) - An animated show about zombified rabbits, which unfortunately was abandoned. (Although my music for it has been used by AtmosFEAR! Entertainment Group in promotional material for Street Theatre characters).

ONE WISH (TV - 2005) - Again, never made. But was going to be a sort of 'Surprise, Surprise' for the new millenium.

THE PARANORMAL SHOW (Theatre - 2003) - A theatrical production featuring the talents of psychics, but my music was rejected for this. Ironically, this one took me the longest to compose!

ATMOSFEAR (Theatre - 2005) - My music was also rejected for this (although was used by AtmosFEAR! Entertainment Group for other promotional material). But I was instead offered the starring role of King Morbius Blackscar for the trailer promoting AtmosFEAR's Scare Kingdom Scream Park, and reprised the role at the actual park itself during October 2009. Which is the most fun anybody could have with their clothes on!!
